Who Am I (What I Do)

“A person who is tired of London is not necessarily tired of life; it might be that he just can’t find a parking place.” – Paul Theroux

I have spent my entire adult life engrossed in information technology and the functions that drive it. Born in the East End of London to hard working parents, I found refuge in the tech boom of the 90’s to satisfy my lust for technology.

Beginning my first job as a PC engineer at a software company it wasn’t long before I was contracting at various central London companies providing desktop support. I guess being asked to provide solutions to IT problems my users encountered took me from being the average problem solver to someone who looked into more depth how technology can aid business processes in achieving more in what was then just a communications tool.

In 2005 whilst I spent the days supporting Windows Servers and my evening’s doing web development, the world was introduced to usable cloud technologies, it was then a natural move to merge what I’ve learnt on premise onto the cloud. The ease of spinning up servers in minutes instead of hours. This enabled me to spend more time on business objectives for my clients which I suppose lit the entrepreneurial spirit in me and made me what I am today.
